MUMBAI: Inspired by the life of IPS Officer Navniet Sekera, this series tells the tale of the asli singham - a real cop dealing with real lives at stake. Real bullets, no retakes and real crime. Bhaukaal is set in Muzaffarnagar in early 2000, which was then better known as Crime Capital of India.

Let's talk about the much appreciated character of the series which is Rajesh Yadav. Upen Chauhan has played the character of Rajesh Yadav in this series. Rajesh Yadav is  an obedient, honest and loyal colleague of Naveen Sikhera (played by Mohit Raina) and a character we must have seen somewhere in our lives who left us smiling. Upen has carried the innocence and honesty of the character throughout the series.

Upen Chauhan is known for his character in 377 AbNormal, The Forgotten Army, Yeh Teri Galliyan, Panchaali many other series and advertisements.
