MUMBAI: Varun Dhawan is all set to make his web series debut with the Indian installment of Citadel which will be created by Raj & DK. The international version of the series stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden, and it is created by the Russo brothers. Reportedly, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will also be seen alongside Varun in the series. 

The shooting of the Indian installment of Citadel will kickstart in January next year. Varun took to Twitter to inform his fans about it. He tweeted, “Ready for some spy games? Beginning filming for the Indian Installment of the Citadel universe in January 2023!”

Apart from Dishoom, Varun Dhawan has not been a part of an action-thriller, so it will surely be interesting to see the actor in the Indian version of Citadel. As he has written that it’s going to be a Citadel universe, we wonder if Priyanka and Richard will also be seen in the Indian version of the series. Let’s wait and watch.

Talking about Varun’s movies, the actor was last seen in Bhediya which unfortunately failed to make a mark at the box office. However, the actor’s performance in it was appreciated a lot. Varun currently has only one film lined up which is Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role. 

He was supposed to star in Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis, but a few days ago, it was announced that Agastya Nanda has been roped in to play the lead role in it. Well, Varun’s fans were a bit upset that the actor is not a part of the film, but now, we are sure they are excited about Citadel.
