When Illegal season 3 actor Akshay Oberoi credited Pankaj Tripathi for his films success - Exclusive

MUMBAI: Akshay Oberoi is known for his mind-blowing performances in Hindi films and OTT. He has returned back to OTT with Illegal Season 3 where he is playing the role of Akshay Jaitley in the famous courtroom drama. Oberoi's character is seen growing, changing from being innocent to showing off power.

During an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, the actor was asked how he decides upon selecting a project. The actor had credited Pankaj Tripathi for one of his films that had become successful. "I keep it very simple. I want to improve with every work I do and work with great people. There is so much to learn from people around me. When Illegal 1 started mere kuch filmei aayi thi, I think like Laal Rang, Gurgaon, Pizza had released. Uss waqt woh filmei chali nai thi. Baadmei they got an audience. When Pankaj Tripathi blew up, they started watching Gurgaon on Netflix, Laal Rang. At that time there were not many options and I was such a hungry actor. Acting is such a weird profession. If I was a singer I could wake up every day and do riaz for 6 hours every day. Acting ke liye I need script, lights, co-stars and directors. At that time this was a good show being made with a nice star cast and I jumped at it. I don't think so much and do not know to strategise anything. I just love to be in front of the camera and act", he said.
