MUMBAI: India, July 18, 2024 - ZEE5, India's largest home-grown video streaming platform and a multilingual storyteller, today announced the launch of light-hearted pandemic drama, Chalti Rahe Zindagi. Jumping Tomato Studios presents this this slice of life drama by Lovely World Entertainment Production. It directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and produced by Ajay Kumar Singh, Shakir Khan and Rohandeep Singh. This film stars veteran actress Seema Biswas, alongside Manjari Fadnnis, Siddhant Kapoor, Trimala Adhikari, Rohit Khandelwal, Indraneil Sengupta, Barkha Sengupta in the pivotal roles. Set against the backdrop of a pandemic-induced lockdown, the film weaves together the lives of three families in a housing complex, exploring how unexpected circumstances can reveal hidden truths and test the bonds of relationships. "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans," once said John Lennon, and Chalti Rahe Zindagi embodies this sentiment perfectly. Chalti Rahe Zindagi is the story of Krishna Bhagat, a local bread supplier whose daily rounds connect three families in a bustling housing complex. As the pandemic tightens its grip, their intertwined lives unravel in three dramatic phases. The first act pulls back the curtain on a clandestine affair, between Arjun’s wife and Aru’s husband exposing secrets. Next, we see Krishna caught in a financial squeeze when Sushma, urged on by her ambitious TV journalist son Akash, demands repayment of a loan. The final phase brings us into the home of the Seths, where three generations of women - the elderly Leela, her daughter-in-law Naina, and teenage granddaughter Siya - grapple with simmering tensions and conflicting desires. As the lockdown intensifies, each character faces a crucible that will test their resilience, their relationships, and their very understanding of themselves. With the world outside grinding to a halt, can these ordinary people find extraordinary courage within? Or will the pressure of confinement shatter the delicate balance of their lives forever?
