Neha Pendse is a very popular name in the entertainment industry. She has acted in Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi films. The actress was last seen as a contestant on the show Bigg Boss 12, and her fan following increased manifold after participating in the show.

Well, did you know that Neha actually acted in acclaimed movie Devdas. She played the character of Chaurangi in the movie, one of the sakhis to Madhuri Dixit's character (Chandramukhi) character. TellyChakkar got in touch with Neha and asked her how she bagged the role and what her experience was like.

Neha said she was in the 10th standard when she received a call from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office. Her mom received the call. She further said that her mom was excited and happy that they had received a call from such a big production house. At the time, Devdas was already a hyped movie.

She was a fan of Sanjay’s previous movies Khamoshi: The Musical and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and she remembers she hadn’t have to audition for the movie. Sanjay had just seen her and cast her in it.

She further stated that she was a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan and that he used to regularly wish her a good evening and good morning. It was at that time that she realized how humble and down-to-earth he is.

Neha also said that she remembers that for a particular costume trial, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali draped a sari for her in no time, making her realize what a creative director he is.

Well, starring in the film is certainly a huge achievement for Neha.
