MUMBAI : Sanina Nehwal is one of the most popular badminton players of our country. At the young age of 15, she won an Asian Satellite tournament in New Delhi. In the year 2016, Saina became the under-19 national champion. Her popularity soared after she became the first Indian woman and the youngest Asian player to win a 4-star tournament at the Philippines Open.

Saina married fellow badminton player Parupalli Kashyap in 2018. Recently a biopic was made on the badminton player called ‘Saina’ played by Parineeti Chopra. The film was directed by Amole Gupte and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sujay Jairaj and Rashesh Shah under the production banner of T-Series and Front Foot Pictures.
Saina Nehwal has made the country proud on many occasions with her games. The sports player also has a huge fan following on social media as well. The Hisar, Haryana born player is super close to her parents. Recently she shared a series of lovely picture with her mother, father and dog chopsy, and captioned it, “Family #home#family.”
