MUMBAI: Sanjay Gagnani is one of the most celebrated and talented actors in the telly town. Sanjay’s journey so far has been quite commendable!
The handsome actor has been winning the hearts of fans with his talent and looks, even though he plays a negative role opposite Shraddha Arya aka Preeta, Manit Joura aka Rishabh and Shakti Arora aka Arjun Suryavanshi/ Karan Luthra.
In Zee Tv’s Kundali Bhagya, we have seen that Sanjay puts in his tenacious efforts to hurt the protagonist’s wife – Preeta aka Shraddha Arya.
But in reality, Sanjay is the darling husband and he shares a great bond with actress wife Poonam Preet Bhatia. The duo tied the knot on 28 November 2021 in Delhi, in the presence of their family members and close friends.
In one of the interviews, we had Sanjay was asked about his journey and he had said, “I have always been a part of the entertainment industry in the form of a choreographer. I used to dance at school and college functions and participate in fashion shows. At that time, I realized that I was born for the stage, and after my graduation, I pursued my master's in mass media with a specialization in filmmaking. My classmates and I used to make short films and documentaries. During that time, I had never been to acting school but I used to prepare in this way. I had acted in those films. Now, whenever I am in front of the camera, I am in sync. I used to come from Pune to Mumbai for acting in TV series. After taking admission at a college for filmmaking, I used to bunk my class for auditions.”

When was the first time you thought about becoming an actor? – Well, this was during my struggle days when I wanted to become an actor and I used to tell myself that one day I will go to Mumbai and will roam around Nariman Point and rule the city like Shah Rukh Khan.
When was the first time you made friends with an actor? – Deepak Sandhu, Sharad Kelkar, Supriya Kumari and more. And after experiencing that, I was like they are like college friends.
The first time you gave an audition – I was quite nervous and I was not able to eat properly.
When was the first time you got paid and how much? - I was paid 3000 rupees for a print ad shoot when I was in Pune.
When was the first time you met a celebrity – It was during my childhood. I met Sachin Tendulkar.
When was the first time you faced a rejection? – Well, it was during my struggle days when I came to Mumbai for an ad shoot from Pune, and I got rejected in from of my friends.
When was the first time you cried a lot? – It was during my kindergarten days when I saw my girlfriend eating with another boy.
When was the first time you fell in love? – I do not remember, but I only know that it was a heroic kind of feeling for me.
Have you done any illegal activity? – Yes, but I cannot reveal it!
When was the first time you achieved success? – It was during school time when I constantly stood first from 1st to the 6th grade.
The first time you joined a gym – I got the feeling like a muscular man.
When was the first you got a celebrity kind of feeling? – Well, it was during the time when I used to perform on the stage as a dancer and the audience used to cheer for me.
