MUMBAI: Over a period of time, television shows have become a visual treat because of the content and the drama they bring on screen. The makers have also acknowledged that a large section of the audience takes fashion inspiration from the actors.
One such popular example was Ishqbaaaz, where each episode brought in a new style statement. And currently, the show that rules the roost when it comes to projecting different fashion statements is Kasautii Zindagii Kay, which stars Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan in the lead roles.
We are thoroughly impressed by the different kind of drapes the characters of Prerna and Mohini wear. While Prerna flaunted long floral anarkalis initially, she now wears fashionable nine-yard ruffle drapes. The latest episode also showed her going bold with a black-and-pink saree with the pallu in the front instead of behind. Hina Khan, who played the character of Komolika in the show earlier, also had a very distinct style, which was a fusion of Indian and Western wear. Nivedita, played by Pooja Banerjee inspires all those with perfect curves on how to rock low-waist sarees. Her kamarbandh raises the oomph.
And how can we not mention Mohini Basu, played by Shubhaavi Choksey! She looks regal and queen-like as she adorns sophisticated jewellery with her ethnic sarees.
The saree has been reinvented in recent times and can now be counted as a part of 'convenient fashion' too! The modern woman has begun to drape it over denims and pair it with t-shirts. Even brides drape sarees differently today and are even seen wearing sneakers with them.
Well, for now, let's take a look at all those inspiring drapes from Kasautii!
