MUMBAI: The scenario in music has changed completely since a last few years. People have now opened up their choices to K-pop and one of the names we get in our minds is SEVENTEEN, a boy band that consists of thirteen members, namely, S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. The boy band is formed by Pledis Entertainment and has slowly started to take over the world.

Since its debut, the boy band has come a long way as the band now has its international reach with signature sound and performance. Up until now, the band has released four studio albums, three reissues, two compilation albums, 13 extended plays, and 21 singles.
As a matter of fact, since debut, Seventeen has sold more than 26 million copies with all of their albums, becoming the second act in South Korea to surpass that milestone. Now SEVENTEEN is here with their latest album 17 IS RIGHT HERE. Composed of 2 CDs, the album presents 4 new tracks, Korean versions of 8 previously-released Japanese lead singles, 20 lead singles from past Korean releases, and a digital-only instrumental version of the group’s debut single, “Adore U.”
The extensive tracklist is a reminder of SEVENTEEN’s progress and evolution and the new songs in the tracklist are very promising of the way the group will lead ahead.
If you are a fan of “Adore U,” “VERY NICE,” “Oh My!”, “Fear,” “Rock with you,” “CHEERS,” and “Super” then you can’t afford to miss “MAESTRO” , the new lead single, as it has the soul of all those compositions with an addition of style and concept vastly original to itself. The new dance R&B talks about solidarity.
While the audio part is captivating, the visuals are also very fascinating as the cinematic music video for “MAESTRO” is set in a dark dystopian world where anything, including music and art, can be easily created with technology. All the band members explore the concept of ‘true creation’ as they confront and eventually embrace the unfamiliar beings introduced to them, ending the video with a thought-provoking question, “Who is the real MAESTRO?” Take a look at the MV below:
Surely the lead single is pretty creative when it comes to conveying their message but this isn’t all as the band proves its versatility with three distinct tracks which are “LALALI”, “Spell” and “Cheers To Youth”. While “LALALI” captures Hip-hop Unit’s laid-back confidence, “Spell” showcases their sensual sentiment of love and “Cheers to youth” encompasses their celebration of simple joys of life. Interestingly, all the members of the band have contributed to the production.
This album marks the beginning of what more is yet to come. At the press conference, the group hinted that they might soon connect with the audiences globally, revealing for the first time their plan for a U.S. tour in the fall this year. In Europe, they are set to grace Glastonbury's main stage and will be the sole K-pop act to perform at this year's Lollapalooza Berlin. Furthermore, SEVENTEEN is slated to return with another album in the latter half of this year, offering fans much anticipation and excitement.
According to PLEDIS Entertainment, 17 IS RIGHT HERE has received more than 3 million pre-orders as of April 19, 10 days prior to the official release, achieving an impressive sales record.
