MUMBAI: Ashmita Jaggi is an Indian model and actress, who has featured in both TV serials and in short movies.
Ashmita was born on 16 January 1990 and she hails from Mumbai (Maharashtra, India). Her family consists of her parents and a brother named Kshitij Jaggi.
Jaggi is a die-hard DDLJ fan since her early childhood days and it was after watching this movie that she determined to pursue acting in Bollywood. Today, she's living her million-dollar dream in reality.
She's a fitness enthusiast and is trained in both western and classical dance.
As an active theatre actor since her school play days, she had even received the 'best acting award' for enacting in a skit. At the age of 15, she had even performed at a Ramoji Film City's summer camp.
She continued acting for a few theatre-based plays in her college days.
Around this time, she embarked upon her career through modelling and even got featured on some TV commercials.
After sometime, she got the chance to star in the popular Channel V's youth show - Swim Team (2015) and gained popularity amongst the Indian youngsters.
After the show went off-air the next year, she had even participated in India's Next Top Model 2.
She also featured in few short films like I Love Us and Raped and even did a cameo in the sequel of the popular sitcom - Hum Paanch Phir Se, which aired in 2017.

Reportedly, Ashmita's all set to shine in her stardom phase yet again by being roped in Alt Balaji's Girgit. Apparently, Girgit would be her debut web series.
