Recently on the sets of Udaariyaan an incident took place. On the show's set in Chandigarh, a Sikh group staged a protest. A group of Sikhs reportedly came in the afternoon of July 8, to interrupt filming because they felt that a fictitious gurudwara was being used inappropriately on the set. Several of the unit's members left, and the group also disturbed another show's filming from the same production house.
