MUMBAI: XG has officially announced the grand finale of their first world tour, XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL”, set to take place at Tokyo Dome on 14 May 2025 (Wednesday). The exciting news was revealed during their sold-out show at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on 22 February, marking a historic milestone for the group as they take the stage at Tokyo Dome for the very first time.
A Night to Remember at Ariake Arena
During their Tokyo concert, XG treated fans to a breathtaking 23-song setlist, including hits like "WOKE UP," "IYKYK," "SOMETHING AIN'T RIGHT," "IN THE RAIN," and "IS THIS LOVE."
One of the standout performances of the night was "IN THE RAIN," which featured an intricate umbrella routine, with the members seamlessly tossing umbrellas to one another in a visually stunning sequence. Meanwhile, "IS THIS LOVE" captivated the crowd of 15,000 fans, as each member held a rose while delivering a mesmerising performance.
A Global Tour of Sold-Out Shows
XG kicked off "The first HOWL" tour in May 2023, thrilling fans across Asia, North America, the UK, and Europe, with many shows selling out instantly. The tour has already attracted over 200,000 fans worldwide.
The group is currently embarking on their Japan encore tour, performing in Nagoya, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Osaka, before heading to Australia (Sydney, Melbourne) in February, China (Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu) in March, and Latin America (São Paulo, Mexico City) in April.
With the final Tokyo Dome show, XG will have completed an impressive 46 shows across 33 cities in 18 countries and regions.
XG: Breaking Boundaries and Making History
XG is a 7-member hip-hop and R&B-inspired girl group consisting of JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA. Their name, "XG" (Xtraordinary Girls), reflects their mission to break barriers with their genre-blending music and empowering performances.
After five years of intense training, the group made their official debut in March 2022 with "Tippy Toes." Since then, XG has achieved several groundbreaking milestones, including becoming the first Japanese artist to top Billboard's Hot Trending Songs chart and the first-ever Japanese girl group to grace the cover of Billboard magazine.
Their second mini-album, "AWE," released in November 2024, debuted on the Billboard 200 album chart, cementing their growing global influence. Additionally, in 2025, XG appeared in a major food chain's TV commercial, further solidifying their mainstream appeal.
XG at Coachella 2025
Adding to their list of achievements, XG is set to perform at the legendary Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2025, making them the only Japanese artist to take the stage at this year’s festival.
