He started his acting career with the TV soap, Mahaprabhu, where he enacted the lead character of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
He has also acted in Hindi films like Barfi!, Mardaani and Piku.
Jisshu is married to actress Nilanjanaa and the couple has two cute daughters, Sara and Zara. The actor shared with a daily that although he doesn’t know the reason but when he saw Sara (the elder one) for the first time, he cried (of course, it was an expression of happiness).
