He was introduced to us as a flamboyant director who had understood the pulse of the nation perfectly. He came onboard with Dil Chahta Hai, which is still considered one of the best road-trip movies on boy-bonding. In fact, his acting venture Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (directed by sister Zoya Akhtar), was an ode to DCH. Also, do we really have to tell you how wonderful his Don series is?
Can sing anybody's pants off:
Despite all the jokes on his voice, the Akhtar lad can sure sing. After all, an entire movie (Rock On, Rock On 2) are based on his singing capabilities. His one-off with Priyanka Chopra in Dil Dhadakne Do had us asking for more. Keep singing, you!
