MUMBAI : Hindi film industry actor Vikrant Massey has been in the limelight since his new release 12th fail. The actor has proved his versatility and his commitment towards acting where he also captivated audience’s attention and got praised by all of his fans. In his personal life the actor has recently welcomed fatherhood into his life. Reflecting on these, Vikrant described this phase as a 'purple patch' in his life.

The actor has also expressed his concern about the Hindi film industry, mentioning that there are fewer films belonging to the "real and rooted" genre.

  In a recent interview with a news portal, the actor recalled the amazing journey he had experienced over the last six months. “Last six months have been quite eventful and actually, quite a lot of things have happened. The success of 12th Fail, wrapping up The Sabarmati Report and it being touted as the much anticipated release, and then fatherhood as well. I can easily say that I’m going through an incredible purple patch in my life,” Vikrant said.

Vikrant also talked about the pressure ahead and conceded the looming high expectations. He remarked, "The pressure to go out there and meet people’s expectations again with equal success is very tough. At the back of your head, you know that you cannot replicate 12th Fail or any success as a matter of fact. You have to start afresh." He mentioned the journey of his upcoming bunch of films.

The actor further concluded by saying that it is a happy time for him and he is grateful both personally and professionally.

Vikrant’s movie 12th fail is inspired from a book by Anurag Pathak which showcased the story of Manoj Kumar Sharma who had faced a lot of struggle to achieve the position of an IPS officer.

On the work front, Vikrant is all set for his upcoming movie The Sabarmati Report. The release date of this film has been changed, initially the movie was set to release on May 2024, the film is now scheduled to hit theatres on August 2.
