Aamir Khan promotes buddy Salman Khan's film Jai Ho on Twitter

True, altruist friendship in an industry as fickle as Bollywood is very rare to see. But of late, one blossoming comradeship between two of the industry's biggest superstars has caught everyone's attention. We are talking about Aamir and Salman Khan. The stars who were not exactly good friends in their heydays are now said to have grown as thick as thieves. So much so that Salman freely promoted Aamir's Dhoom 3 on Bigg Boss 7 by wearing a howler's hat similar to the one Aamir donned in Dhoom 3. Sources say that all this was done on Salman's own accord and there were no instructions from the channel to indulge in any free marketing for Dhoom. Eventually Salman’s star power too helped Dhoom 3 in becoming the highest ever grossing Indian movie of all times. And now with Salman's Jai Ho all set to release next week, it was Aamir’s turn to reciprocate Salman’s kindness. And like a true friend, Aamir has now taken up the mantle of going all out to promote Jai Ho. The actor who tweets only when needed has been enthusiastically writing about Jai Ho on his Twitter account. Since last week, Aamir has started a reverse countdown for the movie movie. Starting 12 days before the release of the movie; Aamir has been posting one Jai Ho tweet every day on his profile. “12 days to go,” Aamir first wrote and followed it with one countdown tweet every other day. On the 9th day of the countdown, Aamir wrote, “Waiting to watch your film Salman. Release se pehle dikha de mere bhai. Jai Ho! Salman on his part said that he found Aamir’s gesture sweet. “Really. How sweet. I feel this is being competitive and showing love in this manner is better than the other way round,” Salman told reporters on the sets a dance reality show. Salman and Aamir who have acted together in Andaz Apna Apna, is believed to have got close when Aamir sought Salman’s help after his divorce from his first wife Reena. It is believed that Salman talked Aamir out of his depression and that incident brought the two stars closer than ever before. And now with this kind gesture, Aamir and Salman have taken their friendship to a greater level in this competitive industry.
