MUMBAI: Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar turned 91 y/o yesterday and she celebrated her birthday at home considering the spread of coronavirus. Family, friends, and fans flooded the social media with all their wishes to celebrate Didi’s birthday.  

However, Bollywood’s ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ Aamir Khan failed to wish his beloved ‘didi’ on time. Despite that, it seems like he actually did not forget her special day.  

Taking to his Twitter handle, Aamir penned a beautiful belated-birthday message for his didi. The actor wished the Melody Queen for the best of her health and happiness. Aamir Khan’s Tweet read, “Dearest Didi, belated happy birthday. Wishing you many happy returns of the day. May good health and happiness always be with you. Respect and warm regards Love. a.” 

Mangeshkar’s niece, Rachana Shah spoke on didi’s birthday plans and on the spread of coronavirus as well. She revealed that the legendary singer had no such birthday plans this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.   

She added that Lata-didi is deeply pained by the reports of casualties following the Covid-19 pandemic and she believes that such a phase does not call for any celebration. Mangeshkar’s niece also mentioned that didi wants to pray for all those who have lost their lives in this pandemic.  

Mangeshkar reportedly received a special gift from Rachana and her family friend, Rhythm Wagholikar on her special day.  

Sharing the same with Twitter, she wrote, “Namaskar. Meri bhanji Rachana aur hamare family friend Rhythm Wagholikar in dono ne mere janamdin par mujhe ye ek khubsoorat tohfa diya. Asha hain aap sabko pasand aayega.”
