Though his last film Delhi Belly hit the bull’s eye, director Abhinay Deo has been lying low for some time. But, right now, he is through with not one but four scripts – an out-an-out comedy, a drama (based on relationships), a period drama and a children’s film.
Deo will decide which one to take up first only once he is done with <em>24</em> (based on the <em>American series 24</em>), the television series he is co-producing with Anil Kapoor and directing it too. It is said that Deo will produce these films himself and will tie up with a corporate house.

Though his last film Delhi Belly hit the bull’s eye, director Abhinay Deo has been lying low for some time. But, right now, he is through with not one but four scripts – an out-an-out comedy, a drama (based on relationships), a period drama and a children’s film.
Deo will decide which one to take up first only once he is done with 24 (based on the American series 24), the television series he is co-producing with Anil Kapoor and directing it too. It is said that Deo will produce these films himself and will tie up with a corporate house.
Talking about the show Deo observes, “The show will change Indian television. Rensil D’Silva and Bhavani Iyer are rewriting the script with me. Indianising such a show is a Herculean task. We have to script 24 one-hour long episodes, which, excluding the commercial time is around 18 hours of footage, equivalent to the size of seven feature films.”
Asked if he would direct all the episodes, Deo maintains, “Though there will be a director for most of the episodes, I’ll direct the key ones myself.”
