MUMBAI: Adah Sharma has made it clear that she did not own the flat where the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput resided; rather, she rented it. She was asked if she was apprehensive about moving into SSR's house during a recent interview.
In her careful reply, Adah asked herself why she should be afraid. She went on to explain that fear is only appropriate for people who have done something wrong; otherwise, there is nothing to be scared of if one has nothing to hide.
Adah Sharma was questioned recently by the popular news portal about her fears associated with moving into Sushant Singh Rajput's flat. She replied, "Kyun darr lagna chahiye? (Why should there be fear?)” She further explained, “Agar life mein aap ne kuch galat nahin kiya hai toh darr kis baat ka. Agar aap kuch guilt mein ho ya aap ne kuch galat kiya hai toh darr hona chahiye kisi bhi chiz ka I feel. (If you haven’t done anything wrong in life, there’s no reason to be afraid. If you have guilt or have done something wrong, then you should feel fear about everything, I believe.)"
The property is a sea-facing duplex situated on the sixth floor of the Mont Blanc building in Bandra West, Mumbai. It features a 4-bedroom apartment with a terrace. The flat had been vacant for three years before Adah Sharma and her family decided to move in.
At an event on August 12, Adah Sharma made it clear that she rents the flat rather than owns it, according to the well-known news outlet. In her response, she refuted misconceptions regarding her earnings from The Kerala Story (2023) and addressed a journalist's inquiry on her ownership of the property. Adah clarified that the Rs. 378 crore in revenue from the movie is not her personal income.
She said that although her mother, who does not work but provides family cooking but does not contribute financially, her grandmother, who also resides in the flat, helps with the rent. Adah further mentioned that the property had been rented by Sushant Singh Rajput as well.
Professionally speaking, Adah Sharma will feature in Tumko Meri Kasam, directed by Vikram Bhatt and starring Esha Deol, Ishwak Singh, and Anupam Kher. Bhatt is supporting this movie, which is one of four projects that Ajay Murdia's Indira Entertainment is working on.
