MUMBAI : Actress Adah Sharma was reported to have moved into the late Sushant Singh Rajput's old home earlier this year. Located in Bandra West, Mumbai, on the sixth floor of the Mont Blanc building, this sea-facing duplex consists of a 4BHK flat with a terrace. Adah talked about her new house on August 12 at an occasion when Vikram Bhatt made announcements about his next projects.
Adah clarified when a journalist asked if she had bought the flat or was just renting it out. “I took that flat on rent. The Rs. 378 crores earned by The Kerala Story (2023) are not mine! Not just me, even my grandmother contributes to it. She argued that since she also resides there, she’ll also pay the rent. My mother doesn’t work, so she doesn’t contribute, but she cooks great food for us.”
Adah reveals, “That house belongs to a certain Mr. Lalwani. I believe he’s settled in South Africa. Even Sushant used to stay in that house on rent.” Vikram Bhatt humorously spoke, “And her house has no furniture. She doesn’t believe in furniture!” Adah laughed, adding, “Even my earlier house didn’t have furniture.” Vikram, intrigued, wondered aloud, “I don’t know what that means!”
Adah kept laughing and gave an explanation, “It means that I like space. I like dancing, and when I dance, I don’t want anything to get in the way. In Mumbai, we pay for space, and if I’m staying in such a beautiful house, I’d like to move around freely! That’s why there’s no furniture in my house.”
Adah Sharma, Ishwak Singh, Esha Deol, and Anupam Kher will all feature in Vikram Bhatt's next film Tumko Meri Kasam. The movie is one of four productions that Ajay Murdia's Indira Entertainment is producing. Bhatt is also backing these projects.
