MUMBAI: Working as a Direction Intern in Advait Chandan's 'Secret Superstar' to Making his Bollywood Debut in 'Loveyapa', Yuktam Khosla Calls His Journey a 'Full Circle Moment'
Yuktam Khosla is all set to step foot in Bollywood with his maiden theatrical release, 'Loveyapa'. Directed by filmmaker Advait Chandan, 'Loveyapa' will see Yuktam Khosla in a pivotal role. Ahead of the film's release, the emerging young actor revealed that he worked as an assistant director in Advait Chandan's 'Secret Superstar', and now he's geared up to play a full-fledged role, and step foot in Bollywood with his rom-com, 'Loveyapa'.
Speaking about the same, Yuktam Khosla shared, "It's a full-circle moment for me.
While I started as an AD, I had manifested while giving the clap that if there’s one director I want to start my film career with, it would be him, and it is just because of the pure joy of acting right in front of the one who’s guided you throughout. Feels like a ‘guru-shishya’ moment.
And that happened because my first ever Bollywood director happens to be him now."
He added, "He sent me to my first-ever workshop of Neeraj Kabi, which laid the basis for my craft. Being a part of Neeraj’s sir workshop laid the foundation for everything I had to learn, and it changed my mind about acting at the young age of 17. The funny part is that Neeraj sir was like a mentor for Advait, who’s now a mentor for me."
Yuktam also shared, "I joined the set of 'Secret Superstar' as a direction intern the next day after my 12th board exams ended. He was the one who sent me for my first-ever workshop right after I completed assisting in post-production on 'Secret Superstar'. He’s as good a director as a mentor. Has been a pillar for support on all down days."
Yuktam Khosla will be seen sharing the screen space with Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan in 'Loveyapa'. Beyond his theatrical debut, the emerging actor gears up to play an endearing Delhi boy in an upcoming web series, set to release on Amazon Prime later in 2025.
He will also be seen playing the role of a Gujarati boy in a quirky short film, helmed by debutant director Mukesh Manjunath. With an exciting lineup of upcoming releases & varied characters, Yuktam Khosla is poised to be a promising young actor on the block!
