MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is well-known throughout the world. Although her Hindi films are well-liked all over the world, she made her screen debut in the American entertainment industry with the popular OTT movie Heart of Stone.

She co-starred with Jamie Dornan and Gal Gadot in the American action thriller, which became one of the most talked-about films of the previous year. Aside from that, she was a major attraction at the 2024 Met Gala.

Alia recently talked about what helped her make the move from Bollywood to becoming a well-known figure worldwide in an interview with the popular news portal. Although it can be challenging to identify certain contributing elements, she thinks that global appeal goes beyond boundaries and language. “The answer to that for me is emotion, which transcends wide and far,” she said.

Alia also said that when she watches Korean, Malayalam, or German content, she doesn’t focus on the language but on the basic story and emotion it conveys. The talented actress, known for her roles in films like Highway, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Udta Punjab, Darlings, and more, feels lucky to have had diverse roles early in her career, offering a wide range of emotional depth.

The actress revealed that she has become involved in her roles. “My intention is always to go for different characters, and hopefully, that has come across to the audience. I wouldn’t want to be pigeonholed into a specific type of film. I challenge myself to see if I can do different kinds of films,” she said.

Alia Bhatt will soon appear in Jigra. She is producing Jigra in addition to acting as its lead. The actor previously talked about her experience breaking into the producing industry, that it's both "exciting and overwhelming."

In addition to Jigra, Alia will soon appear alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zara. Unconfirmed reports suggest the movie has been halted for the time being.

Alia will also be the lead in YRF's Spy Universe film although not many details are known at present. She is also working on ‘Love & War,’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Alia will be reuniting with her actor husband Ranbir Kapoor for the film. Vicky Kaushal will have a significant role in the movie as well.
