After having made a name for himself in the Australian-American film Great Gatsby, veteran Amitabh Bachchan is likely to star in another Hollywood shortly.
He has been approached by BBC and Starfield Productions to star in a film said to be an adaptation of Vikas Swarup’s Six Suspects. However, it has not been made public as to what role Bachchan would essay if he is eventually signed in.
If one may remember Swarup is the author of Slumdog Millionnaire, which was adapted into an Oscar winning movie.
Coming back to the Bachchan project, the film will be directed by award winning Argentinean filmmaker Pablo Trapero.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has decided to approach the 71-year old actor to be the chief guest for the annual summit of the all India Cine Employees Confederation.
Said FWICE president Dharmesh Tiwari, “We have decided to invite Bachchan saab for the Convention that goes underway on 21 January.”
