MUMBAI : Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he purchased the Mahabharat, during the height of Kalki's success, but faced a problem upon its delivery. The actor said on his blog that he had ordered the scared book to be delivered to his home, but upon receiving it, he discovered that Mahabharat should not be kept at home. Big B chose to keep the holy book in his library as a remedy. Amitabh clarified that he purchased the book to gain more information about the script.

“At a recording finally at the end of the day for an evening for another, that creates the mystique of mythology .. and during the various chapters that come up, comes a chapter of Kalki , in the sequence that dwells on the creation of the Universe , and it’s coming during the time passage , which has , quite interestingly been covered in the film KALKI .. and the mysteries of its coming,” he wrote.
“Really there is so much to learn from our scriptures, that an effort is being made to acquire all that could possibly educate an uneducated me, to be of some knowledge .. So an issue of several volumes of the MAHABHARAT was ordered, and when it arrived, there was the issue of keeping the book in the home .. for kept in the home is considered a NO .. so given to a library .. and back to the source that prints my words here – the net,” the actor added.
In Kalki 2898 AD, Amitabh Bachchan portrayed the immortal Ashwatthama. For his portrayal, the actor has been getting positive reviews. Additionally, Kalki 2898 AD has become an enormously popular film. In just 15 days, the Nag Ashwin movie collected Rs 543.45 Cr in India. The movie is on track to earn over Rs 1000 crore globally. The sequel is anticipated to include Amitabh again.
