MUMBAI: Ayushmann Khurrana started his Bollywood journey with Vicky Donor which was a hit at the box office. Later, there were ups and downs in his career with some flops and some hits. However, things changed for him in 2017. The actor was only giving hits and had eight back-to-back hits to his credit. However, post the pandemic, unfortunately, things have changed for him again.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Anek, and Doctor G; all three films starring the actor have flopped at the box office. All the movies were in the content zone that Ayushmann is known for, but still, they failed to pull the audiences to the theatres.
Now, the actor is gearing up for his next release titled An Action Hero. The trailer and the songs of the film have received a mixed response, and the pre-release buzz is not that great. it can grow well at the box office if the reviews and word of mouth are good, but for now, we can’t expect a big opening for the movie.
We asked a few people if it is a do-or-die situation for Ayushmann Khurrana and here’s what they have to say about it…
Khushi: Ayushmann is a good actor and his past few films have not done well. An Action Hero looks decent, but I doubt it will be a box-office hit.
Neha: Not a do-or-die situation for sure. There have been actors who have given more flops than Ayushmann.
Vicky: An Action Hero looks more like an OTT film. In theatres, it might not work, but I cannot judge Ayushmann’s career on it. He is lambi race ka ghoda.
Zaid: After three flops, it’s high time Ayushmann gives a hit. So, let’s see what will happen with An Action hero.
Megha: Even if An Action Hero turns out to be a good film, I doubt it will work at the box office. Ayushmann will bounce back with Dream Girl 2.
Well, let’s wait and watch what response An Action Hero will get at the box office. Do you think that it’s a do-or-die situation for Ayushmann? Let us know in the comments below…
