MUMBAI: 2022 has not been a great year for Bollywood, many films have proved to be disasters at the box office, and most of them were remakes. Bachchhan Paandey, Jersey, Nikamma, HIT: The First Case, Laal Singh Chaddha, Dobaaraa, Vikram Vedha, and Mili, all these films were remakes, and all of them were flops at the box office. Now, on 18th November 2022, one more remake is all set to release in theatres. We are talking about Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran starrer Drishyam 2.

In 2015, the Bollywood film titled Drishyam had hit the big screens and it was a hit at the box office. The movie was again a remake of a Malayalam film of the same name. The original movie starred Mohanlal in the lead role, and the sequel to the Malayalam movie was released on Amazon Prime Video in 2021.

Now, this year, unfortunately, remakes have not worked well. So, will Drishyam 2 finally break the flop remakes’ jinx and become a hit? We interacted with a few people and got their views on the film. Read the comments below…

Kavita: The trailer of Ajay’s Drishyam 2 looks interesting. The film has a chance to do well as people are looking to watch a good thriller in theatres.

Rishabh: I have watched the Malayalam Version of Drishyam 2 on OTT, and if the Ajay Devgn film is a remake, I won’t like to spend money for it. I will watch it once it’s out on OTT.

Vishu: Drishyam 2 looks like a film to be watched in theatres. Also, with such an amazing cast like Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna, we can expect a superb thriller.

Priyanka: I have watched the Malayalam Drishyam 2 on OTT, but I would like to watch the remake as well. The theatrical experience of Drishyam 2 will be different as it will be interesting to watch the suspense unfold on the big screen and see the reaction of the audience in theatres.
