MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan and Twinkle Khanna starrer Baadshah is an action comedy film directed by Abbas-Mustan. It was released on 27 August 1999. King Khan bagged a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Performance in a Comic Role.
Also starring Johnny Lever, Amrish Puri, Pankaj Dheer and Sharat Saxena among others, the film follows the life of Raj aka Baadshah, who runs a detective agency. As Badshah clocks in 20 years, one particular fan page on social media shared a rather quirky review of the film. Along with a still from the song Hum To Deewane Huye, the caption read, “Shahrukh has performed well, so have Twinkle and her navel, which was in full view right through the film. Amrish Puri is very good as the villain with the sense of humour.”
Twinkle was amused by this. The witty actress took to her official handle to share a screenshot of the post and wrote, “Did I say I never got good reviews? I apparently did with the support of an emotive body part! Have to say that 20 years on and the Baadshah couple still have it - SRK still has his dimples and I still have that fine navel:) Thank you sending this and brightening up my morning @manishmalhotra05 #navelgrazing.”
