Balaji Motion Pictures' Iftaar party on 6 August

As its release date is getting nearer, Balaji Motion Pictures, the maker of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara, is leaving no stone unturned in promoting the movie. And given the muslim undertone of the flick, the holy month of Ramzaan is the best time to up the promotional ante. Accordingly, the production house has organized a grand Iftaar party at a suburban Mumbai hotel on 6 August for which invitations have already been sent out to the biggest industry and non-industry names. Says a source, “Many top-level politicians and government officials are expected to be present at the bash." “The Iftaar daawat will be a huge celebration. Besides Ekta and Tusshar (Kapoor), Akshay (Kumar), Sonakshi (Sinha), Imran (Khan), Milan (Luthria, director), Shatruji (Shatrughan Sinha) and Jeetuji (Jeetendra) will be attending the event,” said Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures. Coincidentally, Emraan Hashmi, who had played the role of Shoaib in the original Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara, will also be present. A short qawwali performance by the Sabri Brothers has also been planned. As many as 400-500 guests are expected to attend the party for which security has been beefed up.
