Riteish Deshmukh has finally arrived. 2014 has given him more than one reason to smile. It all started with a National Award for his Marathi film followed by two successful Bollywood outings- Humshakals and Ek Villain. Now with his first Marathi film as an actor Lai Bhari hitting the bull's eye, Riteish is all gung ho about his prospering film career. And just when the stars seemed aligned, in came another good news in the form of YRF's Bank Chor where he ended up replacing comedian Kapil Sharma, thereby marking his debut with India's premier film production company.
When we asked about how it feels to be working with YRF, Riteish said, "I am extremely happy and honoured that I have been chosen for Bank Chor by one of our country's most prestigious production house. It's a dream to work with YRF as I have worked with all other major production houses in the country. The script is something I instantly loved and I am looking forward to working in Bank Chor."
Though Riteish would be reprising his much loved comic avatar in Bank Chor, the actor stressed that the comedy he would be essaying in Bank Chor would be of a different type, something that he has not generally tried his hand at.
The actor however smartly refrained from making any reference to Kapil Sharma, the actor he replaced in Bank Chor. It may be recalled that Kapil was unceremoniously booted out of Bank Chor, a day after his ugly fracas with KRK on Twitter.
Bank Chor will release in 2015.
