MUMBAI: Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan’ son Aryan Khan’s co-accused Arbaaz Seth Merchantt’s lawyer father Aslam Merchantt broke his silence on the drugs bust issue and claimed that his son and Aryan are innocent. 

While talking to media, Aslam said in that the allegations made against his son and Aryan are 'baseless and claimed that both are ‘innocent’. 

Reacting to the Narcotics Control Bureau’s reports on the seizure of five grams of charas from his son, Aslam he said, "It is all baseless allegations, but it is under investigation. It will be premature to state anything at this point of time."

He further said, "The NCB has been very cooperative and very nice to the kids. I being a lawyer, have faith in the judiciary. The truth will prevail and they will be released."

On the claims that illegal substances were found during the raid, he said, "Whatever was found, was found inside the ship, not outside. They didn't even enter the ship. They were guests."

Meanwhile, the NCB on Monday claimed before a city court that "shocking and incriminating" material was recovered from the WhatsApp chats of Aryan Khan and two others arrested which is under investigation. The NCB claimed that the chats recovered showed connections with international drug trafficking.
