MUMBAI: Apart from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles as Raw agent Tiger and Pakistani Spy Zoya respectively in Tiger 3, it was reported that actor Emraan Hashmi will be essaying the role of antagonist in the film. It was even reported that the actor has kick-started the shoot for his bit for the film. And fans were pretty excited to see Hashmi collaborating for the first time with Salman and Katrina. However, an official statement was never made on this topic. But looks like all of this went in vain.
Much to everyone’s shock and dismay, Emraan Hashmi has made an explosive statement saying that he is not a part of the third instalment of Tiger 3. Moreover, he added that he has not shot for the film and never said that he is doing the film. “Who told you what I have already shot for it? People are saying this, but I have not shot for the film. In fact, I am not a part of the film. I don’t know why people are saying this. I have never given a quote or never said that I am doing the film,” Hashmi said.
We wonder if he really meant it or he doesn't want to take away the buzz from his upcoming film, Chehre. Well, now only time will tell that.
Earlier, when the reports of him joining the star cast of Tiger 3 surfaced online, Emraan said he always dreamt of working with Salman and hopefully, it will come true. "I would love to work in the franchise. I would love to work with Salman. It has always been a dream and hopefully, it will come true," the actor told PTI.
In another media interaction, a reporter had asked Hashmi about the film, he said, “I don’t know. Am I a part of it? I’m hearing this news of me doing the film from the media. The talks are on. Ask Tiger if I’m doing the film or not.”
As we are yet to get a concrete answer regarding Emraan's appearance in the film, Salman and Katrina have, meanwhile, already jetted off to Russia to shoot Tiger 3.
