Big Update! Sunny Leone 2019 Cheating Case: Kerala High Court stays criminal proceedings against the actress

There was a cheating case registered against Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber in 2019 followed by a complaint of an event management company after it was alleged that the actor had failed to attend the Valentine’s Day function in Kochi in 2019 despite accepting the payment of Rs. 29 lakhs.

Now, the Kerala High Court has stayed the criminal proceedings against Sunny on Wednesday.

According to Sunny, she turned up twice but the event was not held and the company maintained that the actress didn’t show up. The function was postponed several times but was finally scheduled at Adlux International Conventional Centre in Angamally near Kochi.

In her plea, Sunny rejected the allegations and claimed that they weren’t involved in any crime and that the programme was rescheduled several times but not due to her inconvenience and a balance amount of Rs. 12 lakhs was still due to her.
