Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepak Parashar’s rumored fall out; Says ‘But he chose not to…’
MUMBAI: Bollywood stars Deepak Parashar and Amitabh Bachchan had a fallout of sorts in the 1980s. According to Deepak Parashar, it all began when the Magazine headline 'Move Over Amitabh Bachchan, Here Comes Deepak Parashar'.
In an interview with the well-known news site, Parashar says he's always thought Bachchan was a little bit 'odd'. He even desired to discuss this while they were working on the 1984 movie Sharaabi, but for some reason, they were unable to have that conversation.
There appeared to be an unspoken fight rather than an argument between Parashar and Bachchan. Regarding that, the Nikaah star stated, "We would bump into parties but he would be off with me. Jaya ji would meet warmly and their son Abhishek (Bachchan) would touch my feet. However, I started feeling that Amit ji was holding something against me."
Deepak Parashar adds, "I worked with him in Sharaabi. I wanted to sort things out with him on the sets because I have a lot of respect for him. He is a tremendous actor and I have learnt a lot from him. I am grateful of getting the opportunity of working with him. But he chose not to mention this 'khatas' between us that time (on the sets). He was always cordial and so was I, hence I said 'let it go'. I decided not to bring up this topic with him on the sets. There were also many people around us. We met a lot of times after that but then, it was always very formal."
