MUMBAI: Bengal’s film producer and distributor Shrikant Mohta has been arrested by CBI on Thursday in connection with the Rose Valley ponzi scam.
According to reports, he allegedly duped the Rose Valley ponzi firm of Rs. 25 crore. Reports further state that he is likely to be flown to Bhubaneswar. There the producer will be produced before a special CBI magistrate.
Shrikant Mohta is the co-founder of Shree Venkatesh Films (SVF).
SVF has produced National Award winning films like Memories in March, Chokher Bali and Raincoat. Autograph, Iti Mrinalini, Baishe Srabon, and Hemlock Society are some of the other critically acclaimed films backed by the production house.
