MUMBAI: We bring to you the latest happenings from the world of Hollywood.

No Game of Throne spoilers for Rose Leslie

Actor Kit Harington says he hasn't even told his wife and actress Rose Leslie how Game of Thrones ends. He is set to play Jon Snow for a final time in the forthcoming and final season eight of the fantasy series. In an interview at Esquire Townhouse, Harington spoke about the show, reports the leading publications. The actor said he hasn't lifted the lid on details about the show, as he likes walking around knowing no one knows.

‘I chose not to tell for this I was like I am not telling anyone. I don't think she's guessed it right yet,’ he added. Leslie played Ygritte, the love interest of Harington's character Jon Snow from 2012 till 2014.

While many loyal fans have expressed their sadness about the show ending next year, the actor insisted it ended at the right time. ‘I have no desire to go back and do any more of that show. I have such a fond place I my heart for that show. For a good month afterwards, I just burst into tears randomly. I can't think of a better job to have in your 20s then to play Jon Snow,’ he added.

The final season is set to open in 2019. It airs in India on Star World.

Scariest endeavours are the most fulfilling and rewarding: Rami Malek

Actor Rami Malek, who is playing the role of late singer Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, says it was a gun to the head moment when he was offered the role.

Malek said that he felt huge pressure upon realizing that he would be offered the biggest role of his career so far.

‘Kind of the gun to the head moment, what do you do? And I like to think if it's a fight or flight situation, I'm going to fight. The scariest endeavours that I've chosen to take in my life have been the most fulfilling and rewarding. And this has proven to defend that equation.’

Malek also discussed whether the film tackles Freddie Mercury's battle with AIDS, after critics feared that the film would ‘whitewash’ the singer's battle with the virus that eventually claimed his life.

He said, ‘What's the nature of celebrating a life? Definitely not avoiding his death in any way, or what caused his death, which is the AIDS virus.’

‘But I think if you don't celebrate his life, and his struggles, and how complicated he was, and how transformative he was - and wallow instead in the sadness of what he endured and his ultimate death - then that could be a disservice to the profound, vibrant, radiant nature of such an indelible human being.’

Based on the story of the band Queen, the film will have its world premiere at London's Wembley on 23 October.

Charlize Theron condemns Donald Trump

Actress Charlize Theron has condemned US President Donald Trump for mocking Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Ford accused Kavanaugh during his confirmation process. Ford testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee about her memories of the alleged assault testimony that Trump went on to mock during a rally in Mississippi.

Theron had some strong words condemning Trump's actions, reports the leading publications.

‘Extreme sadness because I can't imagine if that was his daughter, how he would feel if somebody did that. And I think sometimes it's really hard for people to put themselves in that person's shoes, and I don't know why, it's just plain empathy. You don't have to agree with her, she said.

‘But you don't have to be little her, you don't have to do that. For me, it's worse than high school to see an adult do that. Especially the leader of the free world. It's sad.’

She elaborated on the effect of Time's Up and #MeToo movements, explaining that for the first time, inappropriate conduct at the highest levels is starting to have consequences.

‘I think we've lived in a world where women have been so let down for so many years; in a very unhealthy way, we've almost gotten used to it,’ the Atomic Blonde actress said.

‘So to see some accountability for some of the actions that are just deplorable, it feels like we are finally being heard and that things aren't being brushed under the rug anymore. These are civil rights, this is just something that should have already been and we should have been done with.’

Flash standalone movie pushed to 2021

The standalone movie around the superhero character Flash has been pushed back to 2021, due to Ezra Millers involvement with the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

According to sources, Warner Bros. has pushed back the start of filming on the studio's still untitled standalone Flash film, reports the leading publication.

The film never received a formal green light nor did it have a set release date, but it had been expected to begin shooting in March.

However, a script is still being tweaked and the studio officials think that it won't have enough time to get the script in shape in order for the film to make its original start date.

Miller, who will play the role of Flash, also has a key supporting role in Fantastic Beasts the Harry Potter spin-off series. The third film in the franchise begins shooting in July.

The standalone Flash film is now expected to commence production in late 2019. That means the superhero adventure won't release until sometime in 2021.

Marriage protected me against sexual abuse: Nicole Kidman

Actress Nicole Kidman says marrying actor Tom Cruise protected from being sexually harassed in Hollywood.

She was just 22 when she wed Cruise. In an interview, Kidman, 51, has reflected back on that time, saying she now realizes that her then-husband's superstar status protected her from the dark side of Hollywood. The Oscar winner says that being coupled with the actor gave her a special kind of protection, discouraging men from sexually harassing her.

‘I got married very young, but it definitely wasn't power for me, it was protection,’ Kidman explained.

‘I married for love, but being married to an extremely powerful man kept me from being sexually harassed. I would work, but I was still very much cocooned.’

After the couple split, attitudes towards Kidman changed, she said.

‘When I came out of it at 32, 33, it's almost like I had to grow up.’

Kidman rarely talks about her relationship with Cruise, something she said was a deliberate choice made with her current husband Keith Urban in mind.

‘I'm married now to the man who is my great love, and it almost feels disrespectful,’ she said.

Kidman adopted two children with Cruise and had two more with second husband Urban.

Idris Elba raises breast cancer awareness

Fashion designer Stella McCartney got actor Idris Elba to create a moving video to raise awareness about breast cancer. They both lost a parent to the disease. On Monday, the British designer launched a video called All Is Love starring Elba as part of her campaign. The actor narrates the solemn and poetic video about breast cancer, with images of female cancer survivors and their bodies as he says, ‘Praise to the power that cancer could not take.’ Along with the video, McCartney announced the creation of Stella McCartney Cares, a UK charity that will support awareness of the cause. Her mother, Linda Louise McCartney, died of breast cancer in 1998. As part of the project, she will donate 1,000 post-operative mastectomy compression bras, called the Louise Listening style, named after her mother.

The cause is also personal to Elba, who revealed he lost his father to cancer five years ago. ‘Removing the taboo around men talking about breast cancer and encouraging other men to talk about with their wives, mothers, sisters is something you don't often see or hear about, but it should be,’ he said.

The actor also encouraged men to help women in their lives to get checkups.

Elba is known for projects like One Love, Daddy's Little Girls, The Unborn, Thor, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Jungle Book, Finding Dory, and Thor: Ragnarok, which will air in India on Star Movies on 28 October.
