MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey’s Chhapaak is the most anticipated films. It is all set to hit the big screens but has recently run into legal trouble. Well, according to a Mumbai Mirror report, Meghna Gulzar’s directorial found itself in legal trouble when a writer slapped a lawsuit on the makers demanding credits in the film. It has also been reported that the suit filed by Bharti (the writer) claims that he was the one who conceived the idea/script for a movie which was tentatively titled 'Black Day' and his story was also on the acid attack survivor. In fact, the portal further stated that he even registered his story with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association (IMPPA) in February 2015.
Bharti also narrated his story to many production houses including Fox Star Productions which is also Chhapaak’s production house. It is reported that the writer narrated the script to the film’s production house ,and when he came to know about this film being in the making, he raised his concern for duplication to the makers of the film and didn’t receive any response from them. He then decided to approach the high court with a plea in order to seek credits as one of the writers.
