MUMBAI : Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Cirkus which is slated to release on 23rd December 2022. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty, and also stars Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde, and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles.
We all know that Shah Rukh Khan was seen in a TV show titled Circus, and now, he is the King Khan of Bollywood. So, when Ranveer was asked about it as he is now doing a film titled Cirkus, the actor said, “Shah Rukh Khan didn’t become King Khan today, he has been King for the past many years. Aapne meri shobha badhadi, mera naam unke saath leke. We saw him and we thought that we will become an actor. He is my idol; his contribution to Hindi cinema is one of a kind. The way he has received love and given love, if I do even a little bit of that, my life will be fulfilled.”
The trailer of Cirkus was released in Mumbai with a lot of fanfare. The trailer has many highlights and two of them are Deepika Padukone’s cameo and the Golmaal gang’s appearance as kids. At the event, Ranveer also revealed that Rohit is making a comedy-verse, and the filmmaker revealed that the actor will be seen in Golmaal 5.
Cirkus is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors. In 1982, a film titled Angoor was also made which was an adaptation of The Comedy of Errors. The movie starred Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in the lead roles.
