MUMBAI: As the investigation for the pornography case is underway, businessman Raj Kundra has been kept in judicial custody. His bail plea was rejected by a Mumbai court earlier today. While some actresses have come out openly against Raj Kundra's app Hotshots on which he has been charged with creating and publishing pornographic films, Sherlyn Chopra accused him of sexual misconduct. 

Sherlyn had appeared from the Mumbai Crime Branch's Property Cell to record her statement in connection with the pornography case. She had issued an FIR against Raj in April 2021 of sexual assault. He was charged under section 376 of Indian Penal Code r/w section 384, 415, 420, 504 and 506, 354 (a) (b) (d), 509, of Indian Penal Code,  67, 67 (A), of Information Technology Act 2008,  sec 3 & 4 of  Indecent Representation of Women Act 1986.

In her complaint, Sherlyn, who is known for sharing adult content on her website and app, shared that in early 2019, Raj Kundra called her business manager about a proposal for her and that he wanted to discuss the proposal. 

After the business meeting on March 27, 2019, Sherlyn claimed that Raj showed up unannounced at her house due to a heated argument over a text. At her house, Sherlyn alleged that Raj started kissing her even though she resisted. She claimed herself not wanting to get involved with a married man nor mix business with pleasure.

However, the actress alleged, "I asked Raj about his relationship with his wife Shilpa Shetty. He said that it was complicated and that he was stressed most of the time at home.".

She further claimed that somehow she managed to push him and rush to the washroom and stayed there until he left her house. "I kept telling him to stop as I was scared. After a while, I somehow managed to push him aside and rushed into the washroom. I stayed in the washroom for some time.", she alleged. 

Meanwhile, Raj and his partner Ryan Thorpe are in Byculla jail after their bail plea was rejected. The Mumbai police had also raided Raj's residence and questioned his wife and actress Shilpa Shetty a few days ago.
