MUMBAI: Salman Khan's latest movie, Dabangg 3, seems to have failed to impress critics but it'll unlikely affect the film's business. While many critics termed Dabangg 3's screenplay underwhelming, others say it's a film made for masses, especially Salman's diehard fans.
Though film trade analysts were expecting much higher opening day collection, protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act across major cities of India and not-so-impressive reviews have dampened its overall earning to some extent.
According trade analyst Taran Adarsh the movie could have done a better busisness but inspite of the tention brewing the movie as minted 24 cr on the first day.
Tweeting about it, he said, “#Dabangg3 Fri ₹ 24.5 cr. #India biz. Note: ALL VERSIONS.” In an earlier tweet, he had written: “#Dabangg3 hits ₹ 20 cr+ on Day 1 thanks largely to #SalmanKhan’s star power... Day 1 biz would’ve easily been much, much higher had it not been for the protests... Resultantly, biz kept fluctuating throughout the day... A substantial sum was lost due to this reason...
