MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had been probing the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, post which the agency has also been investigating an alleged drug nexus in Bollywood.
Several names came to light as NCB continued with the probe, including the name of Deepika Padukone’s former manager, Karishma Prakash. Karishma, who has now resigned from KWAN talent agency had appeared before the NCB two times in a row on Wednesday and Thursday.
Now, sources have tweeted that, “Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash summoned on Tuesday, 10th November for questioning: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).”, claiming that Karishma Prakash has been summoned by the agency once again on the 10th of November.
Her summon came hours after Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala was also summoned for questioning by the NCB after his house had been raided. His wife Shabana Saeed was taken to the NCB for questioning, and her statement was recorded. She was later arrested by the officials, as per our sources.
A few days ago, Karishma’s house was raided by the NCB officials and they reportedly seized some drugs from her place. Fearing arrest, Karishma had applied for an anticipatory bail in Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court.
Another source reported that the court adjourned the anticipatory bail plea of Karishma Prakash to November 10.
