A colleague of the five doctors told Mumbai Mirror that the trolling increased after an unverified claim stated that the doctors who had conducted the actor's autopsy had gone into hiding. Dean of the hospital in question, Dr Pinakin Gujjar confirmed that the five doctors were being abused online as well as on calls, he also revealed that he has been facing similar harassment too.
Hospital authorities stated in the report that the doctors are scared to file a police complaint, fearing more harassment. One doctor also expressed concern for the safety of his family member, who features in a picture that is being widely shared on social media. "He refused to file a complaint even on Tuesday. We understand their reservation; these are young doctors," said a senior forensic science expert was quoted by Mirror.
