Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami, a film about a common man has now associated itself with Pro Kabaddi League. In keeping with the association, Anupam Kher who essays the role of the common man in the movie was seen cheering the players from the VIP gallery during the semifinals yesterday.
Talking about the association, Abhinav Shukla, producer of Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami and owner of Nautanki Films says, "Kabaddi League has done extremely well and people have been eagerly watching it. I have also played this game while growing up and understand it extremely well."
While Kabaddi is more often played by the common man in India, Abhinav's film too will showcase the plight of a common man and his desire to get a 21 gun salute for his honest deeds. Elaborating on why he chose Kabaddi as the game to associate his film with, Abhinav says, "Kabaddi is a purely a common man's game and our film is also about common man. So our association is right and up to the mark."
Abhinav is also proud about the fact that Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is the third film after Kick and Singham to be associated with the league. "The earlier films that were associated with the league were Kick and Singham and now it's our film. So Kabaddi started with Kick and ends with Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami. So it has been a perfect start and finish to the game. So our association has been apt."
Well, with Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami associating now with Pro Kabaddi league, we have to say that the league and its final match will get a befitting farewell.
