Anand Kumar, the ace director, who also has a production house by the name of Anand Kumar Productions, is ready with a new project titled Meerut Junction. This project had been in works since 2013 and director Anand Kumar had expressed his interest to cast Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role. But somewhere along the lines, the project got delayed and rumors in 2013 suggested that Abhishek was not doing the movie anymore.

Now, our sources suggest that the project is back on and Abhishek and Anand Kumar will be finally collaborating on the project titled Meerut Junction. While no official confirmation has been made, this movie has been a long time in the making. 

Anand Kumar is known for his eccentric settings. His debut film, Delhii Heights, starring Jimmy Shergill and Neha Dhupia, was released in 2007 by Sivaji Productions as their entry into the Mumbai film industry. He also wrote and directed the film. His other films are Zila Ghaziabad (2013), starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Vivek Oberoi, and Minissha Lamba, and Jugaad (2009), starring Manoj Bajpayee. 

Zila Ghaziabad became a cult hit and is still a favourite amongst many cinephile clubs. Anand Kumar is very active on instagram and rumours suggest that the announcement for the movie will come up very soon.
