MUMBAI: Actor Rohit Chaudhary in this exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, com talks about his upcoming film Jogira Sara Ra Ra. He speaks about his character, how he bags the role and what was that one thing that made him say yes to the project.
Tell us about your character?
I am playing the character of Manu, he is a very close friend of Jogi which is played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It is basically a rom-com slice of a film about which I can’t tell much but it is out an out comedy film. And people will love to see this film.

How did you bag the role of Manu?
I gave an audition for the film. Jogi Mallang who is the casting director for this film called me for the audition for the film. So when I was talking to him, he told me that director Kushan Nandy has seen my acting in Bareilly Ki Barfi. And he really likes my performance in it. So Kushan wanted me to audition for the role and he liked my audition and that’s how I got the role of Manu.
What made you say yes to the project?
To be very honest, I am not in the position to choose the characters I want. So, whatever is coming my way, I am happily accepting it. My only aim is the character should be clean, it should not be a vulgar or B grade type. I am ok to do the role which has less screen timing. I am Ok to play the character which is three minutes or 4 minutes of screen space. But the role which I am taking should be interesting. I have come here to work, so whatever opportunities are coming the way I am ready to grab them. Also, there is Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film and sharing the screen space with him itself is a learning experience.
