MUMBAI :Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a star down South, but thanks to her brilliant performance in the Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man season 2 and her special dance number in Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1, the actress has become a famous name in Pan-India. Now, the actress is all set for the release of her first Pan-India film as a lead. Samantha will be seen in Yashoda, which is slated to release on 11th November 2022. It’s a Telugu film, but will be dubbed and released in various languages including Hindi.
This year, we have seen that the Hindi dubbed versions of South films like RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Karthikeya 2, Ponniyin Selvan 1, and Kantara have done exceptionally well at the box office. So, now, all eyes are on Yashoda.
The trailer of Yashoda has grabbed everyone's attention, but the promotions have been low due to Samantha’s health. TellyChakkar got in touch with trade analyst, Ramesh Bala, and spoke to him about the film’s pre-release buzz and what could be the first day collection of the film.
When asked about the pre-release buzz about Yashoda, Ramesh Bala said that the film has an average buzz as there has not been much promotion. However, due to Samantha’s health, the movie has grabbed people’s attention. While talking about if the film’s Hindi version will do well or not, he stated that it all depends on word of mouth and whether the film will do as good business as Pushpa or Kantara.
According to Ramesh Bala, Yashoda can get an opening of around Rs. 5 crore gross in the Telugu markets, and in Hindi market it can open to around Rs. 1 crore.
Well, it will be interesting to see what response Samantha’s Yashoda will get at the box office.
