Fatima Sana Shaikh on her Debut Film ‘Chachi 420’: “I was 4 years old. I still remember..”

MUMBAI: Fatima Sana Shaikh’s journey in the film industry began at a very young age, as the actress started off as a child in the industry and has carved her niche since then. During a recent interview with BT, she shared a memory that holds a special place in her heart, transporting her back to the vibrant days of her childhood during the shooting of ‘Chachi 420’.

When asked about her most memorable work trip to date, Fatima Sana Shaikh fondly recalled, “The most memorable work trip was the outdoor shoot of Chachi 420, I was 4 years old and we were shooting in Chennai. We stayed at this beautiful hotel with a swimming pool and a beach near it.” She described the vibrant atmosphere that still lingers in her memory, adding, “I still remember the smell of the area, as there were certain flowers that bloomed combined with geeli mitti ki khushboo because of the rain.”

From her role as the young child actor in ‘Chachi 420’, where she portrayed the character of Gudiya, Fatima Sana Shaikh has steadily evolved into a skilled performer. Her early experiences laid the groundwork for her impressive career, during which she also showcased her talent in several films as a child actor, including Ishq (1997), Bade Dilwala (1999), Khoobsurat (1999), and One 2 Ka 4 (2001). As she takes on diverse roles in her current projects, Fatima continues to carve her niche in the entertainment industry, demonstrating a commitment to her craft that resonates with audiences today.
