On Wednesday morning producer Feroze Nadiadwala woke up to news reports that he had deputed two burly security guards at Shruti Haasan’s apartment after she was attacked by intruder. What, one may ask, is the connection between Nadiadwala and Haasan? She stars in his next film Welcome Back, that’s what. Denying this report Feroz says, “We are all concerned about her well-being. And we’re all there for her. But I don’t I am in a position to provide her security. I don’t have any security for myself.” One gathers from people close to Shruti that the actress’ immediate concern is her security and protection when she starts shooting for Welcome Back in Dubai next week. Feroz says all necessary precaution is being taken to ensure that full security is provided on location. Security bandobast for the entire unit of Welcome Back is being beefed up. Says Feroz, “On outdoor shooting I’ve always been careful about the security of the stars. Now this time because of what has happened we are all a little more tense. Naturally we will be more careful with the security.” The film’s leading man John Abraham for whom women’s safety is a perennial issue is taking personal interest in ensuring a hazard-free atmosphere in Dubai.
