Film on Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan's fan following

Till now Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan have led such a colourful life that it was only a matter of time that their real life stories got chronicled on screen. And this is what exactly going to happen with writer turned filmmaker Muazzam Beg attempting to do in his latest venture Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai, said to be a feature story by which he hopes to portray the human side of these so called Bad Boys of Hindi Cinema. Beg who had earlier written the story of Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar and directed Sadda Adda elaborates, “Rockstar was about a Rockstar but Munna Bhai Sallu Bhai is about two superstars Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan. The film is being made with the purpose to show how much their die-hard fans love their favourite stars despite of right or wrong.” The film will depict their (Sanjay and Salman) life journey that would include their social, psychological and economical lives right from the time and even before they started their career in the industry, it is understood. The film stars debutant actors Shreshtha Kumar, Zubair Khan and Anjali Arora in key roles. While Shrestha Kumar and Zubair play the die-hard fans (Dev and Samar) of the stars, Anjali Arora plays Natara who is blindly in love with Salman Khan. Shrestha is a well-known TV star, known for his roles in Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Na Aan Is Des Laado, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and Ek Boond Ishq, Zubair is an accomplished model having won the title of 2012 Mr India Worldwide. An excited Shrestha exclaims, “I am very glad that director Muazzam has so much trust or believes in me for this character. I am really happy to be a part of this film.” An equally enthusiastic Zubair adds, “It is indeed a dream come true for me to play the role of a die-hard Salman Khan fan since he is my real-life hero.” Beg who ventured into Bollywood with his directorial debut Sadda Adda feels that die-hard fans of superstars love them unconditionally so much so that they are willing to overlook their mistakes. Produced by Hindustan light & Sound Movie Services, Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai will find resonance with many die-hard fans of stars of Hindi cinema. The film is slated to release sometime in 2014.
