MUMBAI: Anurag Kashyap is well-known for his inventive and futuristic filming techniques and is one of India's most acclaimed filmmakers. Regarding his private life, Anurag Kashyap has been married twice. His first marriage was to Aarti Bajaj, with whom he had a daughter named Aaliyah Kashyap.
Additionally, the second time with an actress Kalki Koechlin. Anurag's daughter Aaliyah engaged to Shane Gregoire, her true love on May 20, 2023, in Bali. The couple then had a lavish engagement ceremony in Mumbai. Presently, the pair is getting ready for their extravagant wedding.

Aaliyah hosts a weekly podcast, Young Dumb And Anxious, and this time around, she had her father as her guest. On the podcast, Aaliyah called out her dad for cancelling on her, as they were supposed to shoot the podcast a few weeks back. In his defence, Anurag Kashyap revealed that he has to work hard to pay the bills of his daughter's wedding.
Anurag elaborated that the wedding budget is equivalent to the budget of his 'low-budget' films, so he needs to keep working to pay the bills. It is important to note that everything here was said in a light-hearted tone, and the Daddy-Daughter duo was laughing around.
Aaliyah is twenty-three and is getting married at the end of the year. When Aaliyah and her father started talking about it, Anurag revealed that he too was married at a young age (24), and Aaliyah asked him what he thought of her getting married so young. The director went on to say that while he respects Aaliyah's choices, he worries that she won't make the same mistakes he did marrying without a clear financial and career strategy.
Aaliyah Kashyap celebrated a major life milestone on May 10, 2024, by sharing on her YouTube channel the details of her first wedding outfit trial. Anita Dongre, the well-known celebrity designer is creating the designs for her special day. Aaliyah even offered her followers a sneak peek by wearing a gorgeous green lehenga with a sheer embroidered jacket and a deep "V" cut blouse.
