Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar honoured with NY Citizen's Achievement Award

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who was recently part of the International jury of the 35th Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), has been honoured with the prestigious New York Citizen's Achievement Award. The three time National-award winning director said that he is highly honoured. “I am hugely honoured and humbled by the Citizen's Achievement Award given to me by people of NYC. I am truly touched,” he said. The Kareena Kapoor-starrer Heroine that released in September last year, was the last film that Bhandarkar directed.
